As you know, shortly after we met in 2019, we had decided to leave Germany. After 4 years of research, we’ve finally found land - 22 hectares that, thanks to the generous help of our families, we signed for on the 5th of March 2026.
We’ve been telling you for a long time that we would want to move further south, and your answer has always been the same:
“…we are happy for you, but we are sad for us”
We have been listening, and we realise that such a service out of which you get organic vegetables that don’t come from a monoculture, is precious.
So we decided that we would do all that is in our power to help you - and this decision doesn’t include abandonment.
We have indeed opened the Market On Land 4 years ago, in order to make people of the area more interested. To make them see that growing vegetables is possible as a community, we opened the Permaculture Summer School - but you know how this all ended: wanting to control us, the community around called the Gesundheitsamt, who called the Bauamt, who brought us to court to demonstrate that we were in right to exercise our right… which we are, because we are “privileged farmers” by law.
On the other hand, the supportive side of the community has shown in more than an occasion how important what we do, and who we are, is.
And it’s for this side of loving people who won’t be able to move with us to Italy, that we are looking for someone who can bring the project forward.
Specifically, what is included is:
regenerated soil (what was sand is now humus)
60 fruit trees planted, giving fruits
greenhouses setup
market infrastructure
water access via a pump
the mini solar system
the ground cellar
the fences
the overall layout of the site
mailing list of 500+ people
clients at the market and at the delivery
established summer school and image
established contacts: presence as guests at local markets, collaborations with other producers nearby
registered trademark
This demonstrates that there are no costs that the new comers would bear to begin: precisely because of its regenerative nature and the fact that it is already established, the project does not entail high costs.
All of this is to be considered on a rented land (which can be bought by the owner, if interested), where you can’t build any sort of shed that is intended to be lived in: you would have to find a house nearby (or take over ours), and to own a car for the delivery day to Berlin.
